5 Life Changing Reasons to Start a Healthy Lifestyle

I used to live my life by running through the motions of wake up, no breakfast, only coffee, work, home, and crash to doomscroll. I needed to break out of this bad habit and I finally started changing. Slowly but surely I got into a much healthier lifestyle and was able to stop myself from crashing after work every day. So here are 5 life changing reasons

5. More Motivation

Healthy lifestyle doesn’t always mean eating clean and exercising. It means moving your life around so it works and is healthy for you.

Becoming more organized, setting goals, and more can boost your motivation and keep you rolling.

Keep in mind this is not an all at once complete change.

Do not pile up your load or you will burn out.

Piling up does NOT equal a healthy lifestyle. Instead, make sure you give yourself mental health days, take care of your mind and body, and set reasonable goals within reasonable time spans.

4. Clear Mind

Brain fog can be caused by a number of things. I found that brain fog came when I was overwhelmed or simply not eating right. If you don’t want to take the time to learn what to cook and all the micronutrients you have to make sure you get in, buy a healthy cookbook or follow a bunch of influencers that will show you easy meals to make.

My favorite cookbook is Well + Good and my favorite influencer is my friend and licensed nutritionist Maggie Keller.

To help with getting overwhelmed I took up yoga on Sundays and fell in love. It’s an hour of my day just for me. To think things through or simply not have a thought in my mind at all.

Getting organized and staying organized also helps when you’re overwhelmed. Sorting out by priority and working your way through helps take the stress off.

3. Better Sleep

When I started this journey of self-love and healthy living I noticed I started sleeping with ease. I could fall asleep without needing headphones in or my brain keeping me up. I could fall into a deeper sleep and get a more meaningful slumber through the night. With better sleep came more energy to do the things I’ve been wanting to do and more.

2. Longer more Fulfilled Life

Being healthy and stress-free reduces risks of disease and injury. It will lead you down a path of freedom and being able to do what you want in life and know not to give up. You’ll make time and more importantly have the energy for the things or people you love.

You won’t spend your days stuck in bed sleeping until noon.

You won’t stress about the upcoming days because your mindset will change, you’re more organized, and your body is getting all the nutrients it needs.

1. Eventually Becomes Second Nature

Reading all of this can be overwhelming. Implementing it can be a struggle. However, a healthy lifestyle can eventually just become a habit! You will start living this way without even thinking about it. Your body will crave a healthier meal instead of junk food and you will learn that you don’t really have to give up anything you really love.
